The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends establishing a dental home no later than 12 months of age to help children and their families institute a lifetime of good oral health. This dental home is an ongoing relationship between us and your child in a comprehensive, compassionate, coordinated, and family-centered way. Your child’s first visit becomes a major milestone, allowing your child to become comfortable with our staff, and much more willing and able to work towards preventive oral health care.
Why do we like to see your child so early? This appointment is as much for your child as it is for you. We like to discuss how to clean your child’s teeth, discuss diet and fluoride needs and recommend appropriate oral care products. We can answer any questions you have regarding your child’s newly erupted teeth.
