Alina Garciamendez

Dr. Alina was born in California and raised in North Texas. She graduated high school from Ursuline Academy in Dallas.She attended Stanford University where she played Division 1 soccer. After graduating from Stanford, she played professional soccer for one year in Germany for FFC Frankfurt. She attended Texas A&M (Baylor) College of Dentistry in Dallas. While in dental school, she became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society and The Odontological Honors Society. Dr. Alina was awarded the Baylor Oral Health Foundation Centennial award for her professionalism, leadership, clinical and patient management skills, community service, and good academic standing. Dr. Alina was accepted into the Pediatric Dentistry Specialty Program at Texas A&M (Baylor) College of Dentistry. During her two years of residency, she worked at Children’s Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for children. Here, she developed the skills to care for medically complex and special needs children.

Dr. Alina is honored to be part of the Kids Pediatric Dentistry family and to work with her mother, Dr. Lisi. Both Dr. Lisi and Dr. Alina have been dreaming of this day for the longest time! Dr. Alina grew up watching Dr. Lisi bring passion and love to all of her patients, and she hopes to do the same. Dr. Alina’s strengths include patience, kind-heartedness, and an easy-going personality which will allow her to connect with children.

Dr. Alina maintains active membership in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, North Texas Hispanic Dental Association, and Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society.

Dr. Alina’s hobbies include staying active by walking her dog Luna, watching soccer, spending quality time with family and friends, and listening to podcasts.

Together, Dr. Lisi and Dr. Alina will be able to help more children whether it be for an emergency or for routine dental needs. They hope to continue to make each experience fun and non-threatening so that the children will walk out of the office with a big smile on their face.
